Dietary requirements

We are happy to cater for any dietary requirements you may have. Please make us aware of your requirements either in the initial enquiry or at the time of the booking. Should you wish to discuss your function requirements in person, please contact The Events Team on extension 3691 or email catering.events@port.ac.uk to arrange a suitable time to meet. Most dietary requirements do not attract a surcharge, however you will be advised of any extra cost at the time of booking.

ALL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS Must be accompanied with a name of the person and there requirement.

VEGETARIAN We have a wide range of vegetarian dishes available that are labelled on the menus with a (v). All the sandwich selection and buffets have been designed to give a selection of vegetarian options.

DAIRY FREE There are a range of dairy free sandwiches that we can supply in individually wrapped packs that will be clearly marked. Choose from the following:-

Houmous & cucumber (v)

Houmous, carrot & coriander (v)

Sweet chilli beef & watercress

 

Tuna nicoise

Chicken & roasted vegetables

Ham salad

 

GLUTEN FREE There are a number of options available for a gluten free guest.

We can now supply Tiki Wooden Spoon gluten free pre packaged biscuits and we have a range of homemade gluten free sandwiches with the following fillings:-

Ham salad

Cheddar & tomato (v)

Egg Mayonnaise (v)

Houmous salad (v)

YEAST FREE We can supply a yeast free sandwich lunch that will comprise of a pack of Ryvita, butter portions, salad garnish and separate filling. Choose from the fillings for the gluten free selection above.

VEGAN If you have a guest that is a vegan please make us aware and we will design a complimentary menu option for them.

NUT ALLERGY If you have a guest with a nut allergy please make us aware and we will design a complimentary menu option for them.

HALAL All the chicken in our sandwiches is Halal certified

FREE RANGE The University of Portsmouth is committed to only using free range eggs for all our dishes, from mayonnaise to eggs as cooking ingredients.

FAIR-TRADE The University of Portsmouth has been Fair -trade certified since 2005 and is committed to widening it's range of products wherever possible. All our tea, coffee and sugar is Fair-trade and around the campus there is a broad range of products available including chocolate, fruit, biscuits and snacks.

Although every effort will be made to accommodate dietary requirements we do need adequate notice in order to fully meet your needs.
