Media_own8This online Epigeum programme will be useful for Part Time, Hourly Paid staff and Partner Associate Lecturers who have difficulty in accessing the many support resources provided by DCQE.

The programme provides access to high-quality training modules in essential skills and supports the assessment and adoption of appropriate approaches to learning and teaching.

 

The modules

 

ms22   The modules cover the following learning areas:

  Module 1  - Supporting and adopting appropriate evidenced-based approaches to lecturing
  Module 2  - A range of ways to deliver lectures effectively to ensure that students are engaged and supported
  Module 3  - Resources to enhance student learning. A step-by-step process to identify, select or create, and use resources with students and how to evaluate their effectiveness
  Module 4  - Making the most of discussion - tips and strategies you need to prepare for, initiate, facilitate, evaluate, and improve discussion experiences, whatever the size and nature of the course
  Module 5  - Supervising projects and dissertations with the focus on undergraduate work
  Module 6  - Marking and giving feedback - how to be helpful, accurate and efficient
  Module 7  - Understanding the principles of course design with the focus on contextualising and designing courses that promote learning
  Module 8  - Developing your teaching to promote effective learning
  Module 9  - Teaching with patients – a focus on clinical support
     

Technology Modules - Aimed at staff who want to use learning technologies effectively. They are also useful for teams who are designing online programmes.
