The University is happy to arrange visits to the campus for groups of students. Your day could include campus and halls of residence tours,  Q&A sessions with current undergraduate students, student finance workshops, a university life talk and subject to availability, subject specific lectures. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Higher Education Convention in association with UCAS

Every year, during the Spring term the University of Portsmouth hosts the Higher Education Convention for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This is an opportunity for visiting students from colleges and sixth forms across the county to gain an experience of university life as well as meet representatives from over 100 universities from around the country and a number of employment providers. Our Careers Advice and Guidance experts within the University and from our local colleges offer a ‘Confused Clinic’ drop-in service to give students the opportunity to discuss their future options.

The convention dates for 2014 will be announced during the Autumn term of 2013.

Information day for Careers and HE Advisers

During May every year we host a one-day event aimed at informing those advising potential university students. With the opportunity to visit facilities and individual departments, the aim of the day is to give an insight into what is on offer at the University of Portsmouth. Our 2013 event will be held on Wednesday 8th May.

Year 12 Faculty Conference Series

Each year we run a series of Conferences for Year 12 students and their teachers. Each of our five faculties Portsmouth Business School, Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Technology host half day conferences with a range of ‘taster’ lectures and workshops run by lecturers for students to choose from. The conference series has now finished for this year, but please check back during the Autumn Term of 2013 for future dates
