Education Liaison and Outreach

We visit you

The 11-16 team can visit your school and provide the following events aimed at different year groups:

For Year 7: Teambuilding / Skills for life workshops - A variety of teambuilding events which can be tailored to your needs. These workshops help build skills such as decision making, effective communication, working collaboratively, leadership and confidence.

Length – 1-3 hours
Minimum of 30 / Maximum of 100 students per session

For Year 8: Classroom activities - Workshops - Students will learn how to recognise the diveristy of graduate roles. They will also link the transferable skills developed through university level education and the increased opportunities to work in the profession of their choice. 

Length – 1 Hour / Lesson
Maximum of 30 students per session

For Year 10: Enterprise Days – Five different themed enterprise events that will encourage young people to be creative, work together and develop presentation skills.

Length – half day or full day
Minimum of 100 / Maximum of 200 students per session

For Year 11: Classroom activities - Workshops - Using prospectuses and other careers literature, pupils will use their problem solving skills to choose a destination for a prospective student using case studies.  

Length – 1 Hour / Lesson
Maximum of 30 students per session

For Key Stage 4 Pupils: Employability Workshop - A series of seminar style activities preparing pupils for employment, incorparating self evaluation, CV's and interviews.

Length - 2 hours
Minimum of 30 / Maximum of 60 pupils

For all year groups: Assemblies - Various assemblies offered each dealing with different themes surrounding HE. All included an introduction to the UP for It scheme.

Other Events

The team are also available to attend other events including parent's evenings and careers fair's within the school.
