Equality and Diversity

Events

The University's commitment to promoting equal opportunities goes far beyond just its staff and students. Throughout the year the Equality and Diversity Unit collaborates with a range of organisations and community groups to set up events that celebrate our diversity.

Previous events with which the University has been involved include Black History Month, world AIDS Day and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) History Month. As well as putting on events of its own such as our annual One World Week public lectures and exhibitions, it can offer expertise like helping to publicise or coordinate those organised by other bodies.
