Equality and Diversity

Portsmouth Equality Practitioners Network (Portsmouth EPN)

 

The network brings together equality and diversity practitioners from service providers across the city.

The group aims are to:

  • Develop partnership and cross-sector working
  • Support better use of resource and expertise
  • Facilitiate the sharing of information and best practice around equality and diversity
  • Develop a consistent city-wide approach to equality and diversity activity

Currently we have representation from the following organisations:

  • Guinness Housing
  • Hampshire Constabulary
  • Hampshire Fire and Rescue
  • Highbury College
  • Isle of Wight College
  • Portsmouth City Council
  • Portsmouth College
  • Portsmouth PCT (on behalf of the PCT cluster)
  • Radian Housing
  • Solent NHS
  • Southdowns College
  • Southern Housing Group
  • University of Portsmouth

Meeting schedule 2013

  • Mon 7th Jan 2013 - 2pm-4pm - University of Portsmouth
  • Wed 3rd Apr 2013 - 10am-12am - venue tbc  
  • Tue 2nd Jul 2013 - 2pm-4pm - Portsmouth Council
  • Thu 10th Oct 2013 - 1pm-3pm - venue tbc

The network also runs a mailing list that allows member organisations to share best pratice, information or ask for guidance and support from other members. This is coordinated by the chair organisation (currently University of Portsmouth)
