We are responsible for the construction and maintenance of the University's estate. The estate is, broadly speaking, based on two main campuses, these being Guildhall and Langstone Student Village and extends to approximately 1.5 million sq ft of buildings together with associated playing fields and open parkland. The building stock extends to some 70 main buildings together with sundry additional minor structures.
These range from Victorian buildings, either purpose built for education use or converted from original uses, to modern purpose built academic and residential buildings.
The department recently completed a large development programme together with the resultant major refurbishment of existing building stock and subsequent departmental moves. It is also currently responsible for the implementation of the University's Mobility Policy.
As a department providing a service to the University we recognise the importance of making you aware of the following:
- Who we are
- What services we provide
- How to obtain them
- What to do if you have any problems
To help achieve this we have put together this web site that we hope will be of use to you. Please use the links to find the information you are looking for. The site will be updated as appropriate. Please let your colleagues know that this facility is available to them.
We hope that you find these pages of use and would appreciate any feedback that you may wish to give. Please send any comments to Chris Burke-Hynes.
