Permits
For Staff
All staff (including Part-Time, Hourly Paid and Casual staff) monthly deductions will be taken from your salary. This will not include PhD or Master students working Part-Time in conjunction with their current course.
Current charges are as follows:
01-01-12 to 31-12-12 - 0.3% of gross basic salary (without enhancements and deducted from net pay).
For Students
A limited number of parking permits are available to Students. The current charge for the Academic year for a Student car-parking permit is:
(01-10-12 to 30-06-13) £75

You are requested to forward a covering letter explaining reasons why a permit is required (excluding Langstone Students). Please also enclose a copy of your vehicle Insurance. If your application is successful, payment can be made by cheque, cash or Credit/Debit card.

Please note, payment cannot be accepted over the phone.
Only Students who fall into the following criteria (excluding Langstone Student Village), will be eligible to apply for Parking Permits:
- All Registered Disabled Badge Holders, (proof required). These permits will be issued free of charge.
- Students with other mobility difficulties. These applications will be considered subject to a University review panel. Supporting evidence from G.P or relevant medical professional is required.
- Restricted Public Transport from Home Address, covering letter required. (PLEASE NOTE: STUDENTS WHO LIVE WITHIN THE PO1 - PO6 AREAS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR A PERMIT).
The closing date for ALL applicants (excluding Langstone Student Village) will be 31 October for 2012/2013. Only Disabled Blue Badge Holders will be accepted after this date.
All applications will be thoroughly vetted by a panel and permits only issued if deemed essential.
All other Students who DO NOT fall into these categories should not apply for permits as their applications will not be considered.
