Employee Self Service (ESS)
ESS is an essential tool for managing your annual leave, checking your payslips and P60s, recording absences and much more.
If you are on campus and already logged on to the University network when you access ESS via the link on Staff Essentials, you will no longer be required to enter your password (although you may see a login screen briefly pop up and then disappear). When you log out you will now see the following screen recommending that you close your browser:
If you access ESS from outside the University network,you can still use the link on Staff Essentials but you will see the following screen which will prompt you to enter your regular University user name and password.
If you are off-campus, please be aware that, if you have ‘pop up blockers’ enabled on your device, you may not be able to view your payslip. If this occurs, you will need to find out how to disable pop up blockers for your specific device if you wish to do so. You can do this using your preferred search engine, e.g. google.
