ESS FAQs - My Employment

"What is a working pattern?"

A working pattern describes the days of the week that an employee works. It also describes the number of hours that the employee would work on each day (but excludes lunch and other breaks which are unpaid). If an emplyee works different hours across a number of weeks, then each week will show the hours per day over a complete set of weeks. If an emplyee works a shift, the pattern will also indicate the start and end times of each working day.
