Health & Safety Policy Implementation

To assist managers, supervisors and staff with the implementation of the University’s Health and Safety Policy the Health and Safety Office have produced the following documents.

Legal Register - Managing health and safety at the University requires knowledge of a wide range of legislation. The purpose of the Health and Safety Legal Register is to provide guidance for managers and employees with health and safety responsibilities to enable them to ensure compliance with the legal requirements for health and safety.

Risk Regsiter Rationale - This document explains the structure and rationale of the University’s risk register.

Risk Register - It is important that the University manages its health and safety risks in an effective manner and that resources are targeted at reducing the highest risks to as low as is reasonable practicable (ALARP) and not treating all risk as equal. A well-constructed risk register is a useful tool in identifying and prioritising risks.
