The Health and Safety Office in partnership with The University of Chichester, runs NEBOSH Courses. These are globally-recognised, vocationally-related qualifications designed to meet the health, safety, environmental and risk management needs of all places of work in both the private and public sectors.

Course Programme

National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety  - This course will run as a 13 week day release course starting Thursday 8th March 2018.

It is especially beneficial to Health & Safety Co-ordinators, managers, supervisors and staff who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. The certificate helps staff manage risks effectively.  Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a first step in a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview and is a sound basis for further professional study.

National Certificate in the Health and Well-Being at Work

This qualification will give managers, supervisors and HR personnel the skills and knowledge to tackle health and well-being at work.  It will benefit organisations who are seeking to improve the efficiency, and morale of their workforce.  It should be attended by line managers, supervisors, health and safety and HR personnel who have responsibility for, or involvement in, the health and well-being of employees as part of their day-to-day duties.

 

Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate

This course leads to a qualification for those with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace and should be attended by Managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation. The course should equip holders to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required. Candidates would also need to complete the first paper of the General Certificate (NGC1) to obtain the full qualification.

 

National Certificate in Environmental Management

This course is designed to provide a sound foundation in environmental management and should be attended by Managers, supervisors and employees  who have responsibility for managing environment issues, as part of their day to day duties. The qualification focuses on UK law and environmental management systems.
