Delivering Excellence 

Delivering Excellence 2018 consists of ten events providing insight, skills and knowledge to support staff in delivering excellent service. These events are linked together by tasks, mentoring circles chaired by DE Graduates and the development of a service improvement plan which delegates will need to undertake between sessions.

The programme will begin with a launch event for successful applicants and their line managers on Wednesday 10th January 2018. This scene setting event will include the opportunity to meet the programme delivery team, presentations from graduates of previous programmes and an introduction from Bernie Topham, our Chief Operating Officer and University Executive Board champion and will be followed by a networking lunch.

Line manager endorsement of applications and their ongoing support of delegates is key to their success and that of the programme. Trusting and empowering staff to make positive changes to improve the service they deliver is both effective and powerful and the programme encourages open and honest communication between delegates and their line manager throughout.

The final event, also to include managers, is an opportunity for delegates to provide details of the service initiative they have or are undertaking, the plans and progress made and the impact felt. This event, which takes the form of individual presentations to the DE18 cohort, their respective line managers and Bernie, has always proved to be a really positive and inspiring event for all in attendance.
