Recruitment and Selection Training

The Recruitment and Selection training will now be delivered in a modular style, allowing staff involved in the interview process to access the required modules in a timely manner.

'Trained Interviewer’ status is achieved once the pre programme e-Learning packages and modules 1, 3, 5 and 6 have been completed.

Module 4: Recruitment and Selection: Job Descriptions, Person Specifications and Grading

Target Audience

This workshop is designed for those who will be writing Job Descriptions and Person Specifications, rather than the interpretation.


This workshop will provide guidance, support and templates in the areas of:

-          The Grading Process: new and existing roles and re-grading

-          Academic role profiles

-          Writing job descriptions

-          Job Description Templates

-          Helpful forms and information

Pre-event Preparation

Attendees will have read and familiarised themselves with the Guidance for Staff Writing Job Descriptions prior to attending the session.
