Initial Development Programme for Newly Appointed Deans
Indicative aims of the Programme
- To meet key role holders within the University, understand what their responsibilities are and how they interface with the Dean’s role.
- To understand the Dean’s responsibilities for Faculty leadership, student recruitment, finance, strategic planning and people management.
- To provide additional support and information to complement induction activities organised locally.
Delivery
The Programme comprises a series of meetings with key role holders around the University. Topics are suggested only as a guide and each programme is tailored to meet the specific needs of the postholder.
