Disciplinary Procedure

Target Audience

Line Managers/Supervisors.

 

Outline:

The workshop aims to ensure that participants understand the purpose of the Disciplinary Procedure and its related legal requirements.

The aims of the workshop are:

To provide participants with:

  • An insight into the Disciplinary Procedure and its legal background and context.
  • An understanding of what their roles and responsibilities are within the procedure.
  • Knowledge of what changes have been made in updating the procedure.
  • Clarity around how and when to use the Disciplinary Procedure effectively.

Learning Outcomes:

As a result of attending participants will:

  • Understand the significance of the Disciplinary Procedure.
  • Understand their role as may be required eg. investigating/chairing a meeting.
  • Be aware of possible problematic issues that may arise around the Disciplinary Procedure and be better equipped to deal with these constructively.
  • Know when to use the Disciplinary Procedure rather than the Managing Underperformance Procedure.

Pre-event Preparation

Attendess will have read and familiarised themselves with the Disciplinary Procedure, FAQs and Investigation Guidelines prior to attending as they will be heavily referred to throughout the session..

Format

Interactive event that will include briefings, case studies and small group work.
