Target Audience

Those with staff management responsibility

 

Outline 

  • Outline of current legislation-focus on Equality Act 2010
  • Update of Equality and Diversity within UoP
  • Application of legislation within UoP
  • Managing  and inclusive workplace

 

 

The aims of the workshop are:

  • Update managers on current legislation
  • Update managers on UoP policy and procedure around Equality and Diversity (E&D)
  • Discuss approaches to achieving and inclusive workplace

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Increase knowledge of current Equality legislation
  • Increase knowledge of current UoP Equality and Diversity policy and procedure
  • Greater awareness of support available to staff and managers
  • Greater awareness of E&D responsibilities as a manager
  • Opportunity to discuss and share E&D concerns and look at practical solutions to ensuring and inclusive working environment.

 

Pre-event Preparation

  • To have completed UoP online Equality & Diversity e-learning package (accessed via UoP equality web pages)
