Managing staff induction

The University Staff Induction page provides full information regarding induction for new staff members.

The University asks line managers (or their nominated representatives) to complete a Personal Induction with all new members of staff. This structured framework includes a health and safety checklist; a list of essential University policies that staff should familiarise themselves with and an initial development plan.

Managing staff probation

The probation period is intended to support staff in a new role and to highlight training and development needs or measures required to help them fulfil their new responsibilities.
