Referral
Self referral
You may contact Occupational Health yourself if you have any concerns regarding your health or work. You can be seen in complete confidence by a member of our nursing or medical staff. There will not necessarily be a report to management regarding any self referral.
Management referral
You may be asked to attend Occupational Health at the request of your manager or HR. This may be for varying reasons:
- Concern that your health is affecting your work or your work is affecting your health.
- If you are pregnant
- Regarding long term sickness absence
- Repeated short term sickness; in case of underlying health problems
These referrals are done for the benefit of staff welfare and will be explained to you by your manager prior to an appointment being made.
Referral may be an assessment either with the Occupational Health Physician, the Occupational Health Nurse Advisor or an Occupational Health Nurse.
