Risk Assessment for New & Expectant Mothers

Guidance for Managers wth relation to pregnant staff is available from HR.

Please also ensure a Risk Assessment for New & Expectant Mothers form is completed as soon as you are aware that your staff member is pregnant.  There may be physical, biological and chemical agents, working processes and conditions that they could be at risk from and changes may need to be made to their work in order to ensure their health and safety.

The form is to be retained by the relevant department and not sent to Occupational Health unless there are any problems which may need our help to resolve.  In this case please Management Refer the individual to us and enclose a copy of the assessment.
