The Careers and Employment Service provides a range of resources and advice to help current students and recent graduates develop their career management skills, find part time employment, voluntary opportunities and placements.

We offer our services to students, graduates, staff and employers. Whatever stage you are at in your career search, we can help you explore your options, develop your skills and provide advice about vacancies, applications, interviews and more.

Purple Door Recruitment

Purple Door Recruitment provides students and graduates with internships, work experience and careers within the field of their choice. Working in collaboration with businesses both locally and nationally we are here to help you find your dream profession. We offer an appointment service where you can speak one-to-one with a member of our recruitment team.

Research and Knowledge Transfer Services (R&KTS)

Research and Knowledge Transfer Services co-ordinates research and knowledge transfer activities across the University. The department assists researchers in all areas of the research process, from identifying funding sources and potential collaborative partners to making applications and negotiating contractual arrangements. R&KTS also provide assistance to businesses and industrial partners, wishing to access University facilities and expertise.

Creative Industries Business Advisory Service (CIBAS)

CIBAS offers one-to-one support and advice, as well as training, networking and development opportunities to individual artists and creative businesses across all art forms.

Our support has enabled artists to start-up in self-employment or to expand their existing businesses. Some of our clients have made successful funding applications and undertaken their own projects. Others have increased their turnover or revamped their marketing and brand identity – as well as developing and strengthening creative networks to help to progress their work and their careers.
