Marketing and Communications

Liz joined the University in January 2012 as an Education Liaison and Outreach Officer for the 11-16 team. This involves preparing and running events on campus as well as delivering talks and workshops within local secondary schools. All of this work is developed in order to inspire and encourage young people to make informed decisions about their future. Liz’s current responsibilities include co-ordinating the Student Mentor Scheme, as well as organising outreach activities for both Science and Languages.

 

Prior to joining the University, Liz was Teacher of Mathematics at Swanmore College of Technology. This invaluable experience came after graduating with a degree in Mathematics and Teaching in 2008 and provided the opportunity to work with young people of all abilities. Before studying at university Liz worked in the field of Accountancy, firstly for a firm in the private sector before moving into the charity sector.
