Profile
The role carries the task of promoting positively the profile and reputation of the University, nationally and internationally, in what has become a highly competitive global market. This involves strategic media relations, raising awareness of the University and its activities among identified external stakeholders, and a programme of internal and external events.
I joined the University in 2004 after 20 years in journalism and corporate communications working for national newspapers in South Africa, the Far East and UK, and in the press office of a major Whitehall department.
