Chris’s role as Education Liaison and Outreach Manager is to lead the team that acts as the interface between educational institutions and the University. 

 

The team plan and deliver a variety of events to pupils in schools across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and beyond. They offer a range of activities that aim to interest and inform potential students about university life in general and the University of Portsmouth in particular. They also co-ordinate all University wide activity with schools/colleges.

 

The team work with children and young people in primary, secondary and post-16 education. They attend careers and higher education fairs, offer talks and workshops and organise school/college visits to the University.

 

Chris has worked at the University since January 2007. Prior to that she worked in the Careers Service in Hampshire, Oxfordshire and overseas as a Careers Adviser, Area Manager and Project Manager.
