Profile

As an Education Liaison and Outreach Officer, Charlotte’s role is to co-ordinate and deliver events and activities that motivate and inspire young people about University. Charlotte works within the Post 16 team, planning and delivering a variety of events including presentations, workshops, conferences and HE Fairs for students in Sixth Forms and Colleges across the county and further afield.

Charlotte is responsible for writing several of our publications, Next UP and our Looking Ahead series and is also the Link Officer for students applying to Portsmouth from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

Prior to working at the University, Charlotte worked as a Careers Adviser for the Connexions Service in the Fareham and Gosport area. Before this she worked in Special Needs education, working in schools and home settings with Autistic children. Charlotte graduated from Southampton University with a degree in Psychology in 2001.

Charlotte feels that her current role is fantastic. She feels honoured to be able to offer students information and advice in making decisions for their future. Charlotte especially enjoys dispelling myths about HE and welcoming students into university from a wide range of backgrounds.
