The Main Security Control Room is staffed 24 hours a day throughout the year. It provides a contact point for students, staff, visitors and the general public in need of assistance or advice.

The control room also houses the equipment for the Central Alarm Monitoring system (C.A.M.S) capable of monitoring fire, intruder, personal attack, lift open/close and environmental activation from alarm systems throughout the University. This is monitored on a 24-hour basis.
