Electronic Document Management (EDM) System
The University has successfully piloted an Electronic Document Management (EDM) System in five business areas across the University to evaluate how a properly structured EDM can improve the current storage, location, sharing and retention of the many types, and the vast numbers, of electronic records held in the University. The project has now moved on to Phase 2, which involves the roll out of EDM into specific business areas. Phase 2 is scheduled to last until early 2014.
For more information on the EDM please select one of the options in the menu to the left.
To discuss the EDM project, please contact Sarah Arnold, University Records Manager, on extension 3390 or by email at Sarah.Arnold@port.ac.uk.

Service Status
Like all IT systems, the EDM system will be subject to short periods of planned downtime for the purposes of upgrading the system or testing our disaster recovery procedures. These are rare and will be scheduled to cause minimal disruption to users. At this point of the roll-out, we do not yet have sufficient users to warrant All Staff emails. Therefore users are advised to check the IS Service Status page for news of any downtime.
