International and EU Orientation Week 
Monday 9 to Sunday 15 September 2013

Our Orientation Programme objectives are:

• To give you your University Information Pack 
• To help you find your way around the University and the City
• To tell you about the many support services we offer 
• To introduce you to University academic and support staff
• To give you the opportunity to meet other students before term starts
• To give you an introduction to study methods used during the course
• To give you a selection of social and sporting events to help you make friends
• To help you with any queries you may have

• Orientation Programme: download an overview of the week. A detailed programme will be given to you on arrival.
• Airport Pickup Service: You will be able to book this service online from June onwards
• Location: Come to Nuffield Centre Main Hall on your arrival to receive information and advice

You will notice the term start date and the last date for registration on your offer letter.  Late arrival is not advised and will be detrimental to your studies. In all cases, you MUST seek authority from the University to arrive late. If your visa application has been delayed for reasons beyond your control, please contact the International Office or your agent IMMEDIATELY so that we can assess your situation. Please also email international.housing@port.ac.uk if you have been offered University accommodation to inform Student Housing of your late arrival.  They will then be able to advise you accordingly on your housing options.
