Government or Company Sponsored Students
If you are being officially sponsored by a company or your government, you may have already submitted evidence of your sponsorship in order to obtain your CAS statement. If not, you should submit this as soon as possible.
You will also need to submit an official certificate/letter of sponsorship to our Student Administration Division BEFORE registering on your course. This should contain all the relevant information necessary for us to invoice your sponsor - as detailed here.
If we do not receive this, you will become liable for paying your fee as soon as you have registered on your course and you will be expected to comply with the University of Portsmouth payment terms and conditions. Please download the following document for these conditions:
Release of personal data
In previous years we have asked students who are sponsored by their embassies to provide the University with their consent to release details about their attendance and assessment to their embassy sponsors. This has previously caused problems where students have not replied to requests for consent so it has not been possible for the University to provide your embassies with the information they require.
The University has improved this procedure to make it easier for students, embassies and University staff to manage. The University will now pass information on your attendance and assessment directly to the embassy without first requiring you to provide your written consent to do so. This will be the ONLY information disclosed in this way - any further requests from your embassy will only be responded to with your consent.
If you have any queries about this procedure and/or wish to object to your personal data being processed this way, please contact the University's Information Disclosure and Complaints Manager, Samantha Hill (telephone 023 9294 4642 or email firstname.lastname@example.org).
