Additional financial support available to Care Leavers
If you have ever been in care or looked after by a Local Authority you may be entitled to additional financial support from the Student Finance Centre.
In addition to the statutory support available from the Government, an annual non income-assessed bursary of £1,500 (rising to £1,550 in 2013/14) is offered to eligible home (UK) undergraduate full-time students, who have previously spent a significant time in care, some of which has been in their teens. Conditions apply so contact us for more details.
If you think you qualify for the Care Leavers Bursary contact the Student Finance Centre and ask for an application form. Alternatively, call 023 9284 3014 or drop into the office on the second floor of the Nuffield Centre, and speak to a member of our experienced team - there's no need to make an appointment.
