I am a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Economics. I teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. My teaching and supervisory interests include International Economics, Defence Economics and Transport Economics.

My main research interests are in Defence and Transport Economics, and I have published in a wide range of academic and professional journals. These include: Economic Affairs, Journal of Transport Economics and Policy, Transport Reviews, Environment and Planning, Defence and Peace Economics, RUSI Journal World Defence Systems and the Journal of Studies in International Education. I have also contributed to a number of books and provided evidence to Parliamentary Committees. I am a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Carmen. I was the President of the Institute of Transport Administration from 2006 to 2009 and President of the International Association of Transport Professionals from 2010 to 2014. For many years, I have been a regular contributor to the media on economic and defence issues.
