Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries

Employability

The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries is committed to improving the employability of our students. We aim to help undergraduate students gain valuable work experience relevant to their degrees and offer a sandwich placement year option on the majority of our undergraduate courses.  In addition many of our courses provide opportunities to gain professional accreditation.

Students can complement their academic studies with a wide range of opportunities such as:

  • Sandwich year placements
  • Self-employed placement years
  • Summer internships
  • Short-term work experience
  • Freelancing (short-term client projects/briefs)
  • Volunteering
  • Relevant part-time work
  • Work and study abroad

The Creative Careers Office provides a comprehensive service to both students and employers, including coordinating the advertising and recruitment for placement and internship positions.
