Survey Feedback and prize Draw Winner

Grad School Events

PRES is the annual national postgraduate research experience survey and provides PGR students you the opportunity to voice their opinions.

The PRES 2017 survey is now closed, and with a response rate of 66% of all eligible* students, the University of Portsmouth had one of the highest response rates across the country.

This year every respondent was entered into a prize draw to win a £1,000 contribution to support their studies**, and this year the randomly drawn winner was Aram Ghaemmaghami, PhD student from the CEISR Research group in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

We expect that the results of the PRES will be published in October 2017.

We are keen to make sure our postgraduate research students have the best possible experience while studying with us. To do this, we need to know what you think works well and what areas we can work to improve. All feedback we receive from students is important and the data gathered from this survey will help us better the student experience, enhance research culture and make studying at our Institution an exceptional experience for current students as well as paving the way for future research degree students.

What did PRES 2017 cover?

The PRES 2017 survey asked PGR students to rate their overall satisfaction with the quality of their course and the following themes: Supervision, Resources, Research Community, Progress and Assessment, Responsibilities, Research Skills and Professional Development, Opportunities.
