Biography

Phil is Head of Department for ICJS. Prior to joining the University 11 years ago he served in the Metropolitan Police Service in a variety of roles including operational duty, training and Royalty Protection. In the last few years of his service he worked at the Police Staff College at Bramshill as part of a team tasked with delivering the training recommendations arising from the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry.  He holds Masters Degree in Educational Technology and was awarded a Doctor of Education from Brunel University. He continues to teach both full time and distance learning students.  He currently supervises a number of PhD and Professional Doctorate Students.
