Coastal Resource Management and Development
On this course you will investigate solutions for conserving our coastal zones, seas and oceans through the development of a coordinated strategy to distribute environmental, socio-cultural and institutional resources.

Jonathan Potts is a Geographer who specialises in coastal and marine resource management. He is particularly interested in the institutional and policy frameworks for coastal management, stakeholder networks and public participation, environmental education and interpretation and sustainable development.
David Hayward has worked in local authority planning for over ten years and is a specialist in the coastal environment. His specialisms include the application of the Habitats Regulations through the planning system and he has been key in driving forward the planning-based mitigation framework for the Solent Special Protection Areas.
