Looking for Asbestos

Understanding and managing asbestos risks in buildings remain major concerns for property professionals. There are still large numbers of non-domestic buildings containing asbestos in some form and its presence poses continuing problems for their maintenance, repair, modernisation, alteration and redevelopment. A fundamental part of managing the risk from asbestos in buildings is by means of an asbestos survey. However, that may be the start of a long journey ultimately leading to removal. Practitioners need to be aware of the issues and up-to-date with procedures and regulations. They also need to understand what to look for and when to call in a specialist.
