Library Funds

The annual book fund allocation, from which the purchase of books and multimedia materials, journal subscriptions, electronic resources and Interlibrary Loan charges are deducted, is managed in cooperation with departments.

There are two levels of fund : the departmental book fund (which in some cases has been further subdivided), and the relevant Faculty general fund.

The level of an individual budget is set each year by the University Librarian, taking into consideration those factors which may affect the demand for - and provision of - resources, such as number of students and new course developments.

How much money is left in my Department or School's library fund?
