Library Committee
The Library Committee is a sub-committee of the Academic Policy Committee, which in turn is a sub-committee of Academic Council.
Terms of Reference
To keep an overview of the operation and development of the University Library and to advise the Academic Policy Committee as appropriate.
To produce such reports as the Academic Policy Committee may request.
The University seeks to provide an inclusive environment for work and study through embedding equality and diversity into everything the University does. The business of this Committee will be conducted in that context.
Membership
- Chair - University Librarian
- One representative from each Faculty, appointed by the Dean
- Chairs of Faculty Library Committees
- Two student representatives - President of Students' Union and Academic Affairs Officer
- Two members of the staff of the University Library: a Subject Librarian elected by the Subject Librarians and one other member of Library staff elected by all other Library staff
