Portsmouth Central Library in Guildhall Square also has a range of equipment for users with additional needs, and has a Braille specialist on staff.
For those living the other side of the water Gosport Discovery Centre is part of Hampshire Library services, and holds a wider range of audiobooks and large print books than Portsmouth Libraries. You can request items from any Hampshire library to be collected in your choice of branch. There are small charges for reservations and audiobooks unless you have certain qualifying disabilities.

RoboBraille is an e-mail and web-based 24/7 self-service solution capable of automatically transforming documents into a variety of alternate formats for the visually and reading impaired. It is available free to individuals with additional needs, who do not need to register to use the service.
MyStudyBar is a suite of free open-source software designed to help students with all aspects of reading and writing. It fits on and works from a USB stick, and includes tools such as coloured overlays, view tracking bars, text to speech and mind-mapping.
The library blog is a helpful source of information on many types of support, including useful apps and extensions, workshops and events etc. You can access it from any of our webpages using the icon at the foot of the page.
