First Floor
This floor houses the stock for Social Sciences, Business, and Law. As well as another enquiry desk and more PCs and library catalogue computers, there are bookable group study rooms. Several special collectionsare also located on the first floor.
The first floor houses three zones: the area around the books and PCs is a quiet study zone, the journals room is a silent study zone, whilst the computers and seating in the new extension (where the special collections are housed) is a group study zone.
The Business faculty librarian and Law and Criminology librarian have offices on the first floor.
Map Library
The Map Library on the first floor provides a comprehensive collection of geographic information, including maps, atlases and electronic resources. The Map Library has a large flat bed scanner and a high resolution A0 colour printer. It offers large format printing and copying services.
