ebrary
The Library has taken out a subscription to the ebrary e-books service, which gives us access to more than 30,000 titles. These are available on or off campus using your University Account. Users can highlight text, make notes, create bookshelves, link to definitions and contextual material, and save or print text.
Browser specifications
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or newer
- Netscape Communicator 7.1 and newer
- Firefox 1.0.4 or newer (with the latest ebrary Reader)
- Mozilla 1.7 or newer (with the latest ebrary Reader)
AOL USERS:
For best results, AOL users should be using the latest version of AOL, and instead of the default AOL browser, use your Internet Explorer system browser. The default AOL browser does not always recognize the ebrary software.
Creating your own bookshelf
Because access to ebrary is not via a password, to use the powerful tools or to print selections from a book you will need to set up your own account on the system. To do this, click on 'set up your optional account' under 'Create your own bookshelf'. There is no charge for this.
ebrary Online Help
This help section can be found on the help button on the ebrary site.
If you are having trouble installing ebrary reader on-campus, please contact the IS Servicedesk.
