 Statistics and Sources of Data

  • Bankscope
    Find financial data for c10000 banks
  • MorningStar (formerly Hemscott Company Guru)
    Accounts, ratios, official news, share price and director data for c300,000 UK companies. You can search for companies using a number of criteria. View the tutorial for Hemscott Company Guru
  • Zephyr
    is a subscription database for mergers data but you will find some basic M&A trends if you look under “Statistics” on the home page
  • If you are a masters or dissertation student, you may want to use Datastream – a very powerful database with financial and economic data from around the world. This has limited availability in the Business School IT open access area. Please ask there.
