Business and Management - Suggested Databases

The following databases are suggested as good starting points for finding Business and Management materials. This list is not exhaustive, and you may find other databases more suited to your needs.

  • Business source complete
Good place to search for articles from professional journals not found on Google Scholar as well as academic articles. Click on the peer-reviewed button if you only want academic articles. In addition there are some country and market reports, with company profiles under a separate tab.
  • Emerald fulltext
Emerald journals are all from the same publisher. Best results found if you do an advanced search. There you can also choose to search just for case studies or literature reviews. Click on Journal of the Week for free weekly access to two of Emerald's journals.
  • Science direct
in spite of its name, this database has thousands of articles on business and management topics.
  • Web of knowledge (ISI)
The strength of this database lies in the fact that it indexes leading journals and in the Web of Science it has a sophisticated Cited Reference Search which allows you to harvest a large collection of related material starting with one known article
