Statistics and Sources of Data

  • Global market information database [GMID -]
    (Euromonitor Passport). You will find market reports on leisure time use for a variety of countries here.
  • Key Note
    A database with both company and market data. It contains information on around 7 million UK companies and has tools which allow comparison of company performance against the sector. The market reports are detailed and cover a wide range of UK markets. Some key reports also contain a comparison with European markets. The database also provides access to 'UKplc'
  • Mintel
    Lengthy reports with data on catering topics such as ethnic restaurants and roadside catering plus travel and leisure
  • Overseas travel and tourism
    Quarterly business monitor detailing quarterly results from the International Passenger Survey. Contains data on visits to and from the UK by overseas residents and visits abroad by UK residents.
  • VisitBritain
    has a huge amount of data and market intelligence on domestic and inbound tourism. Look under "Insights and Statistics".
  • VisitEngland
    has statistics and market research on domestic tourism. Look under "Insights and Statistics".
