Business Information Systems - Suggested Websites

We suggest the following websites as a useful starting point for Business Information Systems students.

  • @brint.com
this site has been included because although it’s a little confusing to use, the layout is ghastly and there are annoying adverts, there are a huge number of links on business IT and knowledge management
  • British Computer Society
the leading professional body for UK IT. Site has some useful articles on topics such as government issues in IT
  • Intute Computing
reviews and collects sites of potential use to UK students. Lots of sub-categories to browse.
  • GreenBiz
has free e-newsletter, research reports and web 2.0 features on Green IT issues
  • SearchCIO.com
some annoying adverts but you will find plenty of news, white papers, links to blogs, etc. on topics such as cloud computing, green IT, SAP and ERP
  • ZD Net UK
"where technology means business" - well structured with videos, downloads, white papers, reviews and blogs. See also ZD Net USA site www.zdnet.com and its associated site Techrepublic
