- Good place to search for articles from professional journals not found on Google Scholar as well as academic articles. Click on the peer-reviewed button if you only want academic articles.
- Science direct
- in spite of its name, this database has thousands of articles on business and management topics including enterprise and information systems
- Emerald fulltext
- Emerald journals are all from the same publisher. Best results found if you do an advanced search. There you can also choose to search just for case studies or literature reviews.
- Engineering village [Compendex,Inspec]
- This is a huge database which will give you articles and conference papers from IT journals not covered by Business Source Premier
- IEEE Xplore
- This database is campus use only, so you will need to set up the webcache to view it off campus. Good for conference papers

- British Computer Society
- the leading professional body for UK IT. Site has some useful articles on topics such as government issues in IT
- GreenerComputing
- has free e-newsletter, research reports and web 2.0 features on Green IT issues

- this site has been included because although it’s a little confusing to use, the layout is ghastly and there are annoying adverts, there are a huge number of links on business IT and knowledge management
- Intute Computing
- reviews and collects sites of potential use to UK students. Lots of sub-categories to browse.
