  • International Bibliography of Theatre and Dance with Full Text

We currently have International Bibliography of Theatre and Dance with Full Text on trial through our Ebsco suite of databases.

It is described as 'the definitive research tool for the study of theatre and performing arts', this database indexes more than 60,000 journal articles, book chapters and dissertations'.


The following databases are suggested as good starting points for finding Performing Arts materials. This list is not exhaustive, and you may find other databases more suited to your needs.

  • International index to the performing arts: IIPA full text
    IIPA is a comprehensive guide to the journal literature on performing arts - drama, theatre, dance, film and television. It indexes the contents of over 250 journals and provides full text access to 99 titles.
  • JSTOR
    Helps you to find academic journal articles on a wide range of subjects.
  • ProQuest
    Helps you to find articles from journals, magazines and newspapers on a wide range of subjects.
