Good place to search for articles from professional journals not found on Google Scholar as well as academic articles. Click on the peer-reviewed button if you only want academic articles.

in spite of its name, this database has thousands of articles on business and management topics
Emerald fulltext
Emerald is very strong in HR. All journals are from the same publisher. Best results found if you do an advanced search. There you can also choose to search just for case studies or literature reviews.
Click on Journal of the Week for free weekly access to two of Emerald's journals.
XpertHR
This database is intended for practitioners so you will not find a lot of academic or theory content, but there is a huge amount of information on policy and good practice. Includes employment law information, line manager briefings, articles, case studies, etc.
