- Good place to search for articles from professional journals not found on Google Scholar as well as academic articles. Click on the peer-reviewed button if you only want academic articles.
- Emerald fulltext
- Emerald is very strong in marketing management. All journals are from the same publisher. Best results found if you do an advanced search. There you can also choose to search just for case studies or literature reviews
- Click on Journal of the Week for free weekly access to two of Emerald's journals.
- Science direct
- in spite of its name, this database has thousands of articles on business and management topics
- WARC : World Advertising Research Center
- Specialist database with articles, research reports and case studies plus a lot of media, adspend and adcost data and some general socio-demographic and economic data. If you are studying in this area, this should be one of your first places to look

- Communication and mass media complete [CMMC]
- Full text from around 380 journals plus abstracts and links to other journals. Very good for advertising and PR because the indexing is quite fine making it possible to easily search for different aspects of the subject

- Advertising Standards Authority
- Advertising codes, a 5 year archive of adjudications of complaints about advertising and survey of advertisers compliance with the codes. Links to other national bodies looking after consumers
- Advertising World
- This is a huge set of links by category on all things advertising, but there is a distinct US bias and the site could be better if the links had been reviewed and content described. On the same site under “Resources” you will find an advertising glossary, some famous US advertising slogans and advertising quotations
- Brandchannel.com
- Contains features, papers, and debates on current hot topics in brands and branding plus a glossary of branding
- Marketer’s Portal from ZenithOptimedia
- about 5,000 links, categorized without description but with indications as to whether site is US, UK or Europe-based
- Outdoor Advertising Association
- useful facts and figures, research and case studies on outdoor advertising, which includes billboards, bus stops, buses, etc.
- National Readership Survey [NRS]
- Top-line estimates of UK readers newspapers and consumer magazines, by social class and gender
- Advertising resources
- links from the University of Iowa. Bias towards the USA but these links are reviewed
- Brand republic
- is a website which features unique content as well as content from several trade magazines – Campaign, Marketing, MediaWeek and PRWeek, so good for industry news. Some of these magazines can be cross-searched within Business Source Premier alongside content from other publishers
