The following databases are suggested as good starting points for finding Education materials. This list is not exhaustive, and you may find other databases more suited to your needs.

  the leading UK source for conference papers and other high quality documents on educational policy and practice
• EBSCO
  this covers lots of subjects but is often a good starting point for your search
• ERIC
  the world’s leading source of articles on Education
• Emerald
  the leading source of articles on training and management. Click on Journal of the Week for free weekly access to two of Emerald's journals.
• IBSS
  a key social science database which is useful for many areas in Education
• JSTOR
  a journal archive containing thousands of articles on education, family, youth and childhood topics
• SocINDEX
  a key source for tracking down articles across the social sciences, so this is particularly useful for childhood and youth studies degree students
